F45 Training workouts move back to the gym

Pumping gym workouts are back on the cards at F45 Training Bundaberg with the local gym reopening its doors last week after the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.

With a capped limit of 20 participants per session, the team have recently implemented new procedures and sessions to allow for appropriate social-distancing measures at the facility in Phoebe Crescent.

Owner Keiran Quinn said the biggest difference to the gym was the number of people allowed to participate per session.

“A capped number of 20 members in each session allows us to practice 1.5 metre social distancing rules at all times, even while training,” he said.

“As a result of the capped numbers, we have added many sessions to our schedule so our F45 family can still enjoy their training.”

Keiran said participants could expect the same high-energy classes, enthusiastic trainers and pumping music, with a few additions to the way workouts were operated.

“We are simply changing up how the members enter the studio and complete their session,” he said.

“For example, four automatic sanitiser stations are located around the facility as well as disinfection stations where members are required to disinfect their equipment before and after each use.

“We've reduced equipment sharing with a change of session structure by allowing members to finish all sets so they won't need to use that piece of equipment again.”

During the 10 weeks that F45's doors were closed in the region due to Covid-19 restrictions, Head Trainer Kyle Crouch said the team worked hard to bring online workouts to members instead.

“F45 Bundaberg incorporated the revolutionary F45 Live throughout COVID-19 where we used Zoom for live online sessions with our F45ers,” he said.

“We had an overwhelming response from our members and without their support with F45 Live during our closure, we wouldn't be in the position to re-open.

“We are so grateful for that.”

Now back up and running, Kyle and Keiran said they were looking forward to pushing ahead with their members.

“The smiling faces and face to face interaction with our amazing members who supported us throughout the closure has been fantasic,” the duo said.

“F45 Bundaberg is their second home, where they have met new friends, achieved unimaginable fitness goals and created a life-long love for health and fitness.

“We knew we missed our F45ers, but when we saw them all in person for the first time it really hit home how much we missed the interaction with them all.

“We are looking forward to feeling good with regular exercise alongside our members over the next challenge.”
