Christmas on Bauble Street offers festive feast

Christmas on Bauble Street
Christmas on Bauble Street will be back in Buss Park again in December as part of the Christmas 2021 Program.

Tickets for the 2021 Christmas program go on sale at midday, including the ultimate festive dining experience enjoying local seafood and meat platters inside a giant, twinkling bauble.

The popular Christmas on Bauble Street dining event is back for a second year and will feature a magical catered experience in the CBD.

Bundaberg Regional Council Arts, Culture and Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said the event was all about spending a night eating, drinking and being merry which would be made even more special under the sparkling baubles in Buss Park.

“These bauble structures will be magnificently decorated in twinkling lights, making for the perfect place to enjoy a festive dinner,” he said.

“Each booking will be offered a selection of some beautiful Christmas platters featuring locally-sourced seafood.

“There will also be a variety of cold cuts,  gourmet salads using produce from our local growers and a drinks package including wine, beer and soft drink.

“The night will end with a gift box filled with delights from Cha Cha Chocolate for each guest.”

Cr Learmonth said the Christmas on Bauble Street dining experience would be held in Buss Park, with the area to be adorned in festive lights, sounds and decorations.

“You will truly be transported to a Christmas wonderland,” he said.

The bauble dining event will be catered during two sessions, from 5.45pm to 7.15pm and from 7.45pm to 9.15pm, on the following dates:

  • December 2
  • December 3
  • December 4
  • December 5
  • December 8
  • December 9
  • December 10
  • December 11
  • December 12

Tickets cost $570 for a six-person bauble or $760 for an eight-person bauble and will be available for purchase at noon on Wednesday, 17 November here.

Family nights at Christmas on Bauble Street

For those who prefer to experience the baubles without the catering service, Cr Learmonth said family nights were also available to book.

“These evenings allow you to hire a bauble and bring your own picnic dinner to enjoy,” he said.

“This option is especially great for families and I can just imagine the wonder and delight on the faces of the young children as they step inside their very own bauble surrounded by twinkling lights and the magic of Christmas.”

The Christmas on Bauble Street family evenings are available to book for December 6, 7, 13, 14 and 15 and cost $30 for a six-person bauble or $40 for an eight-person bauble.

  1. Very disappointed with the bauble festival because all tickets were pre-booked and sold out before the 17th, so we had no chance of going even though the advertisement said tickets will go on sale on the 17th.
