Through a mutual love of wine and cheese Bargara residents Adam and Louise Carrig were inspired to open the coast’s newest business, The Vine Bar.

Situated on Bauer Street, the establishment will open its doors to the community on Saturday, offering a space to relax and unwind while enjoying antipasto boards, drinks and more.

Adam and Louise moved to the region earlier this year and said they found Bargara to be the perfect place to set up their business.

“The idea came from numerous years of travelling and dining out,” they said.

“We have had the chance to enjoy wine and cheese in many different locations and decided that opening a bar was something we’d like to do, drawing upon our experiences and creating our own offering.

“We will offer fine wines and whiskeys, along with delicious cheese, meat, and antipasto boards but also tea and chocolate for a tasteful palate cleanse.

“The Vine Bar is a small, intimate, modern and warm venue centred around customer service and product knowledge.”

The couple said they were excited to open in Bargara and become part of the community.

“Being a part of a local community and bringing another destination to the Bundaberg Region is part of the reason for choosing Bargara,” they said.

“We're supporting local by stocking some of the best the region has to offer in terms of both food and drinks.”

The Vine Bar will be open seven days a week from midday until late at 13a, 1 Bauer Street, Bargara.

Both bookings and walk ins are available.
