Capturing the unique sounds of roots and blues and swamp rock Creedence Clearwater Collective will take the audience on a magical musical journey back in time at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.
Celebrating the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) and John Fogerty this tribute show will deliver a night of iconic hits.
Creedence Clearwater Revival’s success and impact on the music scene was a juggernaut of phenomenal proportions, with their debut album released in 1968 and their last in 1972.
The Creedence Clearwater Revival band comprised of four members, brothers John Fogerty and Tom Fogerty, alongside Doug Clifford and Stu Cook.
With a timeless catalogue of music, CCR were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
Creedence Clearwater Collective lead vocalist Timothy Carter said playing the hits of Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty was like old classic cars, they don’t make or write them like they used to.
“Importantly, we are not impersonators, we pay tribute to CCR and Fogerty, we do not pretend to be them,” Timothy said.
“There are no fake American accents and bad wigs or long stories about their lives, this is not a history lesson, it’s a celebration of their music.
To create a bigger sound experience for the audience’s listening pleasure, Creedence Clearwater Collective are a six-piece band, having added a piano and saxophone player to the line-up.
“We always come and meet the crowd after every show in the foyer of every venue,” Timonthy said.
“We don’t pretend to be rock stars; we love to say hello to fellow fans of live music and CCR.”
