Council’s Disaster Dashboard enhanced

Disaster Dashboard upgrade
Bundaberg Regional Council’s Disaster Dashboard has recently had an upgrade.

A recent upgrade to Bundaberg Regional Council’s Disaster Dashboard means the information and communication tool will be even more invaluable to the community during emergency events.

The update now allows Council‘s Disaster Management team to tailor the dashboard homepage to specific and current events such as active bushfires, major storms and more.

The website has also changed to a wider view, allowing for a more visually appealing/user friendly experience.

Bundaberg Mayor Helen Blackburn said the Disaster Dashboard was an important tool for residents to become familiar with.

“It’s a good time for residents to find out more about the dashboard so they are prepared when disaster strikes,” she said.

“Updates are now live which makes the Disaster Dashboard, more than ever, a one-stop-shop for essential information from warnings, alerts, emergency news, weather-related road closures and flood cameras, power outages, river heights and more.”

The Disaster Dashboard provides links to emergency contacts as well as information on how to get ready for severe weather events.

Residents can also opt in to receive emergency alerts, storm warnings, river height alerts and the information is accessible in over 125 languages.
