Bidfood, Australia’s leading distributor to the foodservice industry, has opened its Bundaberg warehouse to the general public via its new Bidfood Home Delivery service.
Bundaberg families can now shop online for wholesale groceries and have them delivered directly to their home after signing up at bidfoodhomedelivery.com.au.
As well as Bundaberg, the new service is offered across Bidfood’s 40 plus locations across all states, and homes will have access to a comprehensive range of wholesale pantry and household products.
“It is in times like this that everyone needs to do what they can to support our community so we are helping the best way we know how – by distributing food where it is needed,” says Bidfood Australia CEO, Rachel Ruggiero.
“Given the impact of COVID-19 on communities, our team have been working around the clock to enable us to not just bring the service to a few areas, but instead to be able to offer home delivery across all our locations nationally.
“Our regional areas are really struggling to keep up with supply and demand of essential items, so it was important to us that we were able to provide Bidfood Home Delivery services to these areas, not just metro locations.

“We have also been able to secure an offering of close to our entire product range to families of Australia, rather than limiting households to a select range.
“This means access to thousands of essential staples like pasta, rice, milk, smallgoods, canned and frozen goods, as well as cleaning and hygiene products.
“Our online store and home delivery service also makes Bidfood Home Delivery a really safe option for households while we all work to stop the spread of this virus.
“This initiative will also support our local Bundaberg team – helping to keep their warehouse moving and trucks on the road in a time when the foodservice industry has been forced to restrict usual trading.”
