Bundaberg Regional Council has agreed to enter into a contract to sell lots in Kinkuna Waters Estate.

The 21 lots are zoned rural residential and are located just a short drive from Woodgate Beach.

Mayor Jack Dempsey said it was a good result for Council and ultimately ratepayers to dispose of the lots.

“These large lots are fully serviced with water and sewerage and are, on average, about 2000 square meters in size,” Mayor Dempsey said.

He said the lots would be sold to Paul Griffin Homes Pty Ltd.

“Council understands the intention is to advertise the lots to local and southern retirees as house and land packages.

“It’s a real boost for the Woodgate area to have this level of interest and investment.

“An increased population means increased spending in the local area.

“These blocks offer great lifestyle advantages to live in a rural residential setting a short drive from the beach.”

Following a resolution made in its July meeting, Council will enter into final negotiations with the potential buyer.
