Residents are encouraged to be disaster ready and attend a free disaster preparedness information session.

Local residents are being encouraged to be disaster ready as free disaster preparedness information sessions are held in Childers and Woodgate next week.

The information sessions will be facilitated by Bundaberg Regional Council’s Community Resilience Officer and will provide community members with the opportunity to learn how to prepare for severe weather events, including packing an emergency kit and preparing their property.

Morning tea will be supplied and attendees will receive free emergency planning tools and an emergency kit starter pack.

If you’re interested in attending, RSVP by Wednesday 13 March on 4130 4690 or cnc@bundaberg.qld.gov.au.
