Bundaberg Regional Council collects approximately 120 tonnes of electrical waste (e-waste) per year, which is free to recycle at any waste facility.
Recycling e-waste rather than sending it to landfill helps to protect the environment by preventing toxic chemicals from polluting the ecosystem.
e-waste includes computer equipment and small electrical items such as:
- Computers and laptops
- Kettles
- TVs
- Tablets
- Microwaves
- Toasters
- Anything with a plug!
Remember: e-waste is recycled by a third party, therefore it will not be recycled if placed in your green or yellow wheelie bin.
Be sure to sort your load prior to leaving home.
