Take in a beautiful winter sunset at Woodgate during Golden Hour with celebrity chef’s Dan and Steph Mulheron as they enchant food enthusiasts during this year’s Taste Bundaberg Festival.

Golden Hour will include delicious food designed by Dan and Steph, featuring Sweet Potatoes Australia, to delight attendees on newly renovated The Deck at Woodgate Beach Hotel.

The highly anticipated Golden Hour promises an afternoon of culinary brilliance and mouth-watering creations which will leave taste buds tingling.

Returning to the annual Taste Bundaberg Festival, the duo said they were excited and looked forward to the inaugural Golden Hour event.

She said participants would enjoy a canapé menu featuring Sweet Potatoes Australia in a variety of unique and tasty dishes.

“As Sweet Potato Australia ambassadors we are very proud to be hosting an event that showcases Bundaberg grown produce and featuring gin made locally,” Steph said.

As winners of the popular cooking show My Kitchen Rules Dan and Steph have become household names, celebrated for their culinary expertise and infectious passion for food.

The event will provide attendees with a unique opportunity to interact with Dan and Steph, as they share their culinary insights, cooking secrets, and anecdotes from their culinary journeys.

Steph said relaxing by the ocean at Woodgate Beach Hotel with friends and family was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon and she encouraged the community to take part.

“Join us for in an exclusive ‘Sunday-sesh’ style to celebrate Taste Bundaberg Festival, the regions sunsets and its produce, at a stunning venue and new top deck at Woodgate Beach Hotel proudly brought to you by Sweet Potatoes Australia,” she said. 

“DJ Chelsea will be spinning vinyl and setting the vibe on fire, Sweet Potatoes Australia are featured heavily in our street food canapé menu, with bottomless tins of Kalki Moon gin and Aperol Spritz all afternoon, while you watch the colours of the sunset over the water with friends.

“To collab with these two wonderful companies excites us and to be hosting it at Woodgate Beach Hotel is the ultimate Sunday vibe.”

Taste Bundaberg Festival is renowned for promoting exquisite flavours and culinary delights of the Bundaberg Region and Steph said she had lasting memories from last year.

“We were part of the Taste Festival last year at the farmers market where we showcased Sweet Potatoes Australia in a cooking demonstration – it was so fun!” she said.

“It was such a beautiful festival and it was also great to see our friend Colin Fassnidgewho returns again this year.

“This year also excites us more as we are heavily involved with this unique celebration of the Golden Hour.”

Tickets will be on sale to the public at noon on Monday 10 July, with locals and visitors alike encouraged to follow the Taste Bundaberg Festival Facebook page for updates and the launch of the full program.
