Junior and senior players from around Australia will be in the region this weekend to compete in the 2020 Bundaberg Cup.

The 2020 Bundaberg Cup is about to touch down with more than 600 enthusiasts from across Australia vying for a share in $20,000 prize money.

According to Tourism Minister Kate Jones, visitor numbers to the event have doubled since 2017.

“This demonstrates the appeal of this event, proving that the Bundaberg Cup is a great drawcard for the region,” she said.

“Bundaberg is the perfect location to host this event, home to sports lovers who will make you feel very welcome and the gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef.”

The event is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland in partnership with the Bundaberg Regional Council, Bundaberg Tourism and promoted as part of the It’s Live! in the Queensland event calendar.

The 2020 Bundaberg Cup will run this weekend, 1-2 February from 9am to 6pm at The Greg Duncan Fields, University Drive.
