Food lovers will have an excess of delicious events and activations to divulge in when the 2023 Taste Bundaberg Festival tickets go on sale from noon today.
To be held from 4 to 13 August, the annual festival shines a spotlight on local produce and product for ten days of gastronomic bliss in the food bowl of Queensland.
Bundaberg Regional Council’s Arts, Culture and Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said from picnics to barbecues and masterclasses and markets the festival would have something to satisfy every palate.
“The Taste Bundaberg Festival is set to be a culinary extravaganza that will make your tastebuds dance,” he said.
“We want everyone to indulge in the diverse flavours that the region has to offer.”
Market day, a highlight of the festival, will return this year at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct and will be free to attend.
Visitors can expect a vibrant display of fresh produce, ranging from fruits and vegetables plucked straight from fields, trees, and vines, to succulent meats sourced from local paddocks and the bountiful ocean.
“It’s a feast for the senses, showcasing the rich culinary tapestry of the region,” Cr Learmonth said.
“Stallholders are gearing up to showcase their clever culinary creations, while food vans stand ready to serve up the region’s delectable flavours to marketgoers.
“Prepare to be amazed by the culinary talent and innovation on display.”
Cr Learmonth said an exciting new event called Soho Sunday Tipi Dining has been added to the 2023 festival calendar.
“It’s the perfect occasion to gather your friends, dress up, and enjoy an elegant afternoon soiree,” he said.
“Guests will savour a sumptuous dining experience catered by the esteemed team at Bert’s Restaurant.
“As the sun sets over the ocean, live music will serenade attendees while they sip on a signature cocktail and relish gelato.”
Cr Learmonth said more than 50 events and activations made up the 2023 Taste Bundaberg Festival program with plenty to choose from.
“With tickets expected to sell fast, it’s essential to secure your spot at this incredible festival,” he said.
“Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience!”

Good luck if you are 79 trying to book the Rare Fruits tour. I even rang the Council for help to book. I got the link but could not get any further.
